July 2013 The Beginning
The dream of constructing a building has finally become a reality for Costa Brava Development Corp. when they founded Hotel Costa Brava in July 2013. They discover that they wanted to create a hotel business rather than construct a building and that's how Hotel Costa Brava was born.
August 2014 The Unforeseen Delay
On November 3, 2013, Super Typhoon Haiyan, locally known Bagyong Yolanda, struck Leyte in full force and washed away the already- constructed beams and posts of Hotel Costa Brava, hindered and destroyed the development of the hotel's construction. But with courage and determination to continue, the Costa Brava Development Corp. The owner rebuilt Hotel Costa Brava what was left from the catastrophic typhoon.They made sure to create a typhoon-resilient structure that will last decades promoting its legacy and history.
August 8, 2018- Grand Opening
On August 8, 2018, Hotel Costa Brava had its Grand opening and opened its door to the public. The Hotel along with its in-house cafe/restaurant called Cafe Marina and outdoor bar and restaurant called Chula Vista welcomed its first guest with a warm ambiance, cozy atmosphere, great tasting food and delights, and outstanding customer-oriented hospitality services. This day marked the beginning of Hotel Costa Brava's journey. The construction is still ongoing, development is going to be endless and upgrade of service and amenities is going to be limitless. Hotel Costa Brava is just one of the many existing legacies of a catastrophic yet beautiful disaster.
